Typically, we would share resources for educators and families, but today, we want to share some words of encouragement. Suppose you are a teacher whose contract got renewed or who was invited back next year, but you strongly desire to leave your current school or district and are afraid of change. Leap. I have met far too many teachers who regret not trying that new school or grade. Now, breathe and take some time to plan some relaxing this summer.
Similarly, if you are a teacher who did not receive a notice to renew for the upcoming year, you did an excellent job this year, giving your all. You are a great teacher, and your next class will be happy to have you! Do not give up. The same applies to you: Now, breathe, and take some time to relax this summer.
Finally, to all teachers, getting some rest, reset, and refresh is okay. Some teachers are about to end the school year, and others have a month or so left. Enjoy your students, laugh with your colleagues, and care for yourself.
